By now, we’ve all seen videos of drones or Unmanned Aerial Systems/Vehicles (UAS/UAV) in rescue operations or in State Farm commercials. But, what are the real benefits of using drones in a practical way that would impact the bottom line, reduce operating/maintenance costs, reduce workplace injuries?

Harford Field III, CPP, PSP, CHS-IV will answer these questions as well other challenges associated with implementing drone technologies i.e. legal and regulatory concerns, technical and operational issues and much more.

About Harford:

Harford is currently managing teams implementing new NERC CIP standards for electric utilities including Version 5 of these cyber security standards, and particularly the CIP-014-2 Physical Security Reliability Standard for protection of facilities against physical attacks that could significantly interrupt the Bulk Electric System in North America.

Harford holds a Master’s Degree in International Affairs, International Security and Terrorism Issues and B.S. in Public and Business Administration. He has provided perimeter defense solutions for the Department of Defense, Department of State, Department of Energy and critical infrastructure such as airports, seaports, water authorities, rail & mass transit
