ASIS International Greater Atlanta Chapter is more than a monthly meeting. We are a resource hub for security professionals across metro Atlanta, built around connection, professional growth, leadership, and community impact.
Professional Growth & Certification- We support members in achieving and maintaining industry-recognized credentials, including the CPP, PCI, PSP, and APP certifications, through local study groups, mentorship, peer support, and information sharing.
Relevant Education & Future Readiness- We bring members access to expert-led conversations, emerging trends, and practical strategies that prepare security professionals to lead through a rapidly evolving risk landscape.
Networking & Industry Connection- From signature social to industry roundtables and monthly professional development events, we create opportunities for members to build relationships, exchange best practices, and navigate career growth and transitions.
Leadership & Volunteer Development- Members find opportunities to lead, serve, collaborate, and contribute to the growth of the chapter while expanding their visibility within the security profession.
Public Safety & Community Impact- We help bridge private security, public safety, business, and community partners through programs such as Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (LEAD), the Richard L. Duncan Security Officer of the Year Awards, and regional security initiatives like Group Nine Security Summit, and annual GILEE Business Continuity Summit, that support a safer, more resilient Greater Atlanta.
Student & Emerging Professional Engagement- Through partnerships with Georgia State University and other academic and industry partners, we connect students and early-career professionals with mentorship, internships, scholarships, and exposure to real-world security career pathways.

Locally, the Greater Atlanta Chapter is one of the largest and most active chapters in the U.S., representing more than 600 members across corporate security, cybersecurity, risk management, investigations, law enforcement, and academia. For more than 65 years, we have advanced security leadership in the metro Atlanta region through education, networking, and community engagement.
