Frequently asked questions
When do you have meetings?
Our meetings are Lunch and Learn events or Industry Tours with time built in for networking. They are held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. Typically, we do not have a regularly scheduled meeting in June, July, or August. These months are reserved for networking events and LEAD.
Where are your meetings held?
Our Lunch and Learn events are usually located at the Maggiano's at Cumberland Mall. The official address is Maggiano's 1601 Cumberland Mall Atlanta, GA 30339. However, we may sometime hold meetings and industry tours at other locations. Be sure to check the location of each event.
How much does it cost to attend meetings?
Monthly Lunch and Learns are typically $40 for members and $50 for non-members. We ask that you pay for your ticket at the time of your online registration.
Occasionally, we have sponsored meetings. In these instances, members may attend the event at a lower cost or free, because the event is chapter or company sponsored.
Networking events are typically no cost to chapter members or community supporters.
Do you have certification study groups?
Yes! We typically have chapter sponsored certification study groups. The study group usually lasts 8 weeks or more depending on the certification.
The CPP study group is usually held in the beginning of the calendar year around late January. The PSP study group is usually in the fall around mid-October.
We would love to host our first PCI study group, so if you are interested, please let us know.
Are there annual dues?
We have annual dues of $25, payable through the website. Members are also required to renew their ASIS International membership each year as defined in the Bylaws.
