Lori Galvin, CPP, PCI, CFE

Chapter Chair

Lori is the Vice President of Global Investigations for the Kreller Group, responsible for North American as well as International Due Diligence Investigations.  Lori joined the Kreller Group in August 2007.  


Prior to joining Kreller Group, Lori spent eleven years conducting due diligence, corporate fraud and workplace violence investigations and threat assessment management. Lori is a graduate of Ohio University with a BA in Criminology and minors in Spanish, Psychology and Political Science.  She obtained her Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification in January 2006, her Professional Certified Investigator certification (ASIS) in 2011 and her Certified Protection Professional certification (ASIS) in 2015. 


Lori has been an active member of the Investigations Council for ASIS International since 2010 and is currently serving on the Executive Board of ASIS Atlanta as Chair. Lori served as a Technical Committee Member on the Standards and Guidelines Commission for the creation of ANSI/ASIS INV.1-2015, Investigations Standard and was a Review Committee member assisting with the editing of the 2nd edition of the Professional Investigator’s Manual, 2016.


Additionally, Lori has co-authored 2 articles published in Compliance and Ethics Professional magazine (SCCE): Shell Companies: The Role of Beneficial Ownership in Third-Party Due Diligence, with Tracey Kungl (2016) and Top Ten Inefficiencies in Third-Party Questionnaires with Scott Shaffer (2016).

Mark Ferrebee

Vice Chair

Mark currently serves as the Security Program Coordinator for PSI Security Services, located in Marietta, GA, servicing clients since 1989. Mark has been in security service industry since 1997 with a focus on identifying client needs and implementing solutions to help them exceed their security goals.

Along with serving as Vice Chair for the Greater Atlanta ASIS Chapter, Mark also serves as Chair for the Law Enforcement Appreciation Day and has served in some capacity for this event since 2009.


Through the years mark has completed and is a member of the following groups:

CERT – Community Emergency Response Team – Cobb County

Citizens Public Safety Academy – Cobb County

FBI Citizens Academy (FBI Alumni Association)

Homeland Security Investigations Citizens Academy


Mark has also volunteered for the American Red Cross, hurricane Katrina relief, and currently volunteers for the CAI Green Team Adopt-a-Road program.


J.D. Cannon, CPP, CFE, PCI

Chapter Secretary

JD Cannon is a U.S. Department of Homeland Security, ICE - Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Federal Special Agent, with twenty-eight (28) years of law enforcement experience between local, state and Federal levels. 

JD has the following four college degrees; AGS / AA / AAS / BA (Phi Theta Kappa, National College Honor Society / Magna Cum Laude).  JD obtained a Senior Certification in Law Enforcement in 2001 (Level-5). 

JD is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Board-Certified in Security Management and a Professional Certified Investigator (PCI).  JD is the ASIS International - Atlanta Chapter Secretary, on the Executive Board.  JD is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and a member of the (International) Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) as well as the Metro Atlanta Chapter (GACFE).

JD is a U.S. Army Veteran.  JD served enlistments in both the Regular (full-time active duty) U.S. Army, including three years overseas and with the U.S. Army Reserves. JD was enlisted from January 1985 until November 1993 (with extensions) as a Chemical Operations Specialist.  


Rebecca Strobl

Chapter Treasurer

Rebecca joined Security Engineers, Inc. in 2019 as Director of the Security Solutions Support Group.  As Director of the Group, Rebecca serves as Security Engineer’s executive sales lead and security solution architect working with potential customers to design a strategic program to address their specific security needs. Prior to her current role at Security Engineers, Inc., Rebecca spent sixteen years generating organic revenue growth in the security, software, staffing and robotics industries along with developing and leading sales teams.  

Rebecca is a member of ASIS International and serves as the Treasurer of the Greater Atlanta ASIS Chapter.  She is also a member of the Dalton, GA Chamber of Commerce, Chattanooga, TN Chamber of Commerce and  Professional Women’s Network.

Rebecca obtained a BS from Oral Roberts University in Church Administration and she is a licensed State of Georgia EMT-Intermediate, licensed Wilderness EMT; First Aid / CPR / AED / Bloodborne Pathogens / Wilderness First Aid Instructor and retired State of Georgia volunteer firefighter.
