About The Event

Please join us for our Chapter's April Lunch & Learn.

The $50 ticket includes lunch. ($40 for members). Attendees will earn 1 CPE.

This session will delve into practical approaches to managing short and long-term stressors that affect our lives in the security profession. We will examine the emotional challenges faced within the security realm, emphasizing the impact on well-being. We will explore the insights on recognizing and addressing proven strategies to recognize and address stress, develop emotional resilience, and maintain mental health within our fast-paced and increasingly demanding occupation.

Amanda served as a law enforcement officer and firearms and defensive tactics instructor for over nine years before transitioning to the corporate security sector. Amanda still serves as a reserve deputy attached to the Advanced Training Unit within the Cobb County Sheriff's Office.

Amanda specializes in high-profile investigations involving public officials, celebrities, gang activity, and white-collar crime. Her expertise includes insider threat investigations, the prevention of domestic and workplace violence, and technical investigations leveraging digital intelligence. As an investigator, she served with several specialized units including the ATF Gun Violence Task Force, Anti-Corruption, Special Victims, and Homicide Units. Amanda holds a master’s degree in teaching and forensic science.

She is a board-certified investigator through ASIS International and a board member of the Human Threat Steering Committee.
