Tim Giles, CPP, PSP will instruct you in the proper process for building a Workplace Violence Prevention Program.
You will understand the business need for having this program and how to gain the support and funds from your executives,
what the multitude of impacts to your business are when a serious incident occurs on your property,
what the components of a successful program are and how to implement the program.
Mr. Giles operates his own business with services that include providing clients with security assessments and analysis of company security organizations which can include both Physical and Information Asset programs; security Master Plan Development and quality assessments. Prior to going into business for himself, Tim was the Managing Director, Security Services for Kroll Associates in Atlanta for 2.5 years. Before that, he was Director of Security, North America at IBM where he was the Executive responsible for the firm’s security operations for all of the United States and Canada. Tim has also worked in IBM’s Latin America operations as the Director of Security and spent three years living and working in the Asia Pacific Region of IBM’s security operations as the Area Security Manager. In previous careers at IBM, Mr. Giles worked in manufacturing and engineering positions in IBM’s semiconductor operations.
Mr. Giles is the author of the book “How to Develop and Implement a Security Master Plan”. He has been Board Certified in Security Management as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and in Physical Security as a Physical Security Professional (PSP) by ASIS International; and he is a Licensed Private Detective. He served as the Chairman of the Greater Atlanta chapter of ASIS International during 2006 and Host Committee Chairman for the 2008 and 2014 ASIS International Seminar and Exhibits in Atlanta.
