Locally, the Greater Atlanta Chapter is one of the largest and most active chapters in the U.S., representing more than 514 members across corporate security, cybersecurity, risk management, investigations, law enforcement, and academia. For more than 65 years, we have advanced security leadership in the metro Atlanta region through education, networking, and community engagement.
We are dedicated to advancing security through education, networking, professional development, and community impact. Our chapter proudly supports initiatives that promote diversity, student engagement, and recognition of security professionals at all levels.
Our signature programs include the annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (LEAD) and the Richard L. Duncan Security Officer of the Year Awards, monthly professional development events, and partnerships with Georgia State University that connect students with mentorship, internships, and scholarships. We also champion diversity and inclusion initiatives through Women in Security programming and Next-Generation leadership development.
Looking ahead, we are committed to preparing our members to lead and thrive in the rapidly evolving risk landscape. We are proud to be the host chapter for the ASIS International Global Security Exchange (GSX) in 2026, which will bring thousands of security professionals from around the world to Atlanta and showcase our city as a hub for innovation, leadership, and the future of the profession.
